Merge is one of Blu-ray Copy’s 5 copy modes and is very useful for flexible copy and backup. One can use this mode to merge several titles from different Blu-ray sources into one disc, Blu-ray folder or ISO image file. Read on for a detailed tip about how to merge Blu-ray movies with this powerful Blu-ray copy software for Mac: DVDFab Blu-ray Copy on Mac.

Step 1: Copy source discs onto hard drive

First of all, let's make it clear about the source Blu-rays. Valid source formats are Blu-ray discs, Blu-ray folders and ISO files. All sources must be continuously available until the merging completes. So, if the sources are discs, we suggest you copying the sources to HDD one by one before starting merging, by doing so, the merge process will run faster and save you a lot time. If you pop out one Blu-ray disc after finishing loading, and insert the second one, then the first source will be deleted from the to-be-merged list.

Now start DVDFab 11 for Mac, navigate to Copy located on the option bar, then click on the mode switcher icon to select Main Movie mode to copy your source Blu-ray as Blu-ray Folder or ISO image onto hard drive.

Step 2: ChooseMerge mode in Copy option and add source

After finishing copying, switch the copy mode to Merge, and click on the “+Add” button to load the copied Blu-ray folders or ISO files as source. You can also drag and drop the files directly into DVDFab. We take Blu-ray ISOs for example.

After all source Blu-ray movies are imported in, you can see all the movie titles by clicking the "+" to unfold them. And you can also preview them, change their start and end chapters, subtitles and audio tracks if you would like.

Step 3: Choose Target and Output size

On the left pane of the interface, you can choose the output size as BD50 or BD25 with compression ratio provided. Then go to the bottom “Save to” part to specify a storage path for the output folder or image file. If you want to burn the movies into a blank Blu-ray disc, you should choose the external Bly-ray drive attached to your PC.

Step 4: Create a Blu-ray Menu or not

Click Next then you’ll come to the Blu-ray Menu creation interface where you can create and customize the Blu-ray Menu for the output. If you want no menu, just choose “No Menu” on the right pane.

Click Next button then you can set the playback mode and rename the volume label.

Step 5: Start Merge process

Click Start button on the main interface to start the copying and merging procedure.

If the output directory is set to be a disc, you will be asked to insert a disc to start the writing process. Just insert a BD25 or a BD50 blank disc in according to the output size you have set. Then copy process begins.

If the output is set to be a folder or an ISO image file, the copy process begins directly and you can see detailed progress info. And you can set your Mac to exit the program or shut down for the moment the task is done.

OK. That’s it.
